Data Reporting Requirements for Cancer Diagnoses and Treatment
All health care facilities and practitioners shall report any data about patients who are diagnosed or treated for cancer. If a patient was directly referred or previously admitted to a hospital for cancer diagnosis or treatment, they do not need to have their information reported. The health care facility shall designate one staff member who will report cancer data to the Tennessee Department of Health, and the facility shall inform the Department of that staff member's name, title, work address, work telephone number, and e-mail address.
