The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology released a draft called Strategy on Reducing Regulatory and Administrative Burden Relating to the Use of Health IT and EHRs in November 2018. More information about the goals of the report can be found here.
During the 60 day comment period, ONC collected 208 comments from a wide range of stakeholders. The comments were focused on four main areas from the draft strategy:
- Clinical documentation
- Health IT usability and the user experience
- EHR reporting
- Public health reporting
