Requirements for Infection Data to Be Available to Department of Health and Senior Services - Mo. Rev. Stat. §197.160

The statute above provides that the Department of Health and Senior Services shall have access to all data held by medical treatment facilities, including hospitals and ambulatory surgical centers, related to infection rates, treatment or control practices.   If medical treatment facilities fail to provide this information, they may be subject to revocation of their license.  And if it is determined that the medical treatment facility is willfully impeding access to such information, the Department may suspend state payments to the facility.
