Reporting hearing screening results and information to the department and child's primary care provider
Specifies the information that health care providers must include when reporting newborn hearing screening results to the Department of Public Health. Required information includes, among other items, the name of child, the test results, and the child’s primary care provider. Requires facilities to document a parent’s failure to attend a screening appointment in the child’s medical record and to report this failure to the Department. Screening results must also be sent to the child’s primary care provider.
