Referral criteria
Requires substance abuse treatment programs to establish policies for referring services to providers outside of the program. Requires programs to obtain the client’s consent before disclosing the client’s confidential information for referral purposes. Specifies the information that programs must include in the disclosure consent form (e.g., client name, persons receiving the information, duration of the consent, etc.).
