Requirements of records and notifications,
Requires pharmacists that administer an injection to notify the ordering practitioner within 48 hours of the injection or within 14 days if the injection occurred as part of a written protocol. Specifies the information that pharmacists must include in the notice (e.g., patient identity, dose, adverse reactions, etc.). Requires pharmacists to maintain records of administered drugs for at least two years following the administration. Specifies the information that pharmacists must include in these records (e.g., patient name, name of ordering practitioner, name of medication administered, etc.).
