Newborn Metabolic Screening
Requires all newborns to undergo congenital and inherited disorder screening in accordance with Department of Public Health rules. Provides an exception for parents that object to such screening. Requires health care providers to document screening objections in the newborn’s medical record and report the refusal to the Department.
