Infant immunization program - delegation of authority to immunize minor
Establishes an Infant Immunization Program with the Department of Public Health and Environment. Requires the parents or guardians of an infant to get their infant vaccinated in accordance with the Board of Health’s vaccination schedule. Permits parents or guardians to delegate their consent to immunizations to a relative or step-parent. Requires the health care provider that administers a vaccination to document delegated consent in the minor’s medical record. Establishes a religious or personal belief exemption to the immunization requirements.
