Requires laboratories that conduct newborn screening tests to immediately report unsatisfactory dried blood specimens to the provider that submitted the specimen. Requires laboratories to report positive or suspicious results to the infant’s provider or—if unknown—the person who registered the birth. Requires such reports to include information on follow-up care. Requires laboratories that obtain a positive report for a disease or condition addressed in Idaho’s reportable diseases regulations (Idaho Admin. Code r. 16.02.10) to report the case in accordance with those regulations.
