“Grounds for disciplinary action under the regulation of professions and occupations law”
Radiological personnel may be denied a license or face disciplinary sanctions for a variety of grounds including:
- Making a false report or failing to file a report required by state or federal law;
- Engaging in unprofessional conduct, which includes failing to conform to prevailing standards of care;
- Being unable to practice radiologic technology or to perform the duties of a radiologist assistant with reasonable skill because of illness or substance use;
- Failing to report to the Department of Health any health care professional who violates the law; and
- Failing to report to the Department of Health in writing within 30 days after his or her license was revoked or suspended in another state.
