“Disciplinary action; penalties under the regulation of professions and occupations law”
Midwives may be denied a license or face disciplinary sanctions for a variety of grounds including:
- Making a false report or failing to file a report required by state or federal law;
- Being unable to practice because of illness or substance use; and
- Failing to report to the Department of Health any health care professional who is violating the law.
