“Patient safety data privilege under the torts law”
“Patient safety data” means reports made to patient safety organizations as a result of a medical procedure which injured or caused the death of a patient. Patient safety data is not subject to discovery or introduction into evidence in any legal proceeding. Unless otherwise provided by law, a patient safety organization must remove all patient-identifying information after receipt of a complete patient safety data report.
