“Disciplinary proceedings under the regulation of professions and occupations law”
An audiologist and speech-language pathologist may be denied a license or face disciplinary sanctions for a variety of grounds including:
- Making a false report or failing to file a report required by state or federal law;
- Engaging in fraud, negligence, incompetency, or misconduct in the practice of speech-language pathology or audiology;
- Engaging in sexual misconduct with a patient; and
- Being unable to practice speech-language pathology or audiology because of illness or substance use.
