“Disciplinary actions under the Nurse Practice Act”
Nurses may be denied a license or face disciplinary sanctions for a variety of grounds including:
- Making a false report or failing to file a report required by state or federal law;
- Unprofessional conduct;
- Being unable to practice nursing because of illness or substance use; and
- Failing to report to the Department of Health any health care professional for violating the law.
