“Availability, distribution, and posting of reports and records under the public health law”
The Agency for Health Care Administration must provide information about all nursing home facilities to the public. The agency must provide inspection reports to the local long-term care ombudsman council, the agency’s local office, and a public library or the county government within 60 days after the inspection. The agency may provide electronic access to inspection reports as a substitute for sending hard copies.
The Agency for Health Care Administration is responsible for publishing the Nursing Home Guide every 3 months in electronic form to assist consumers and their families in comparing and evaluating nursing home facilities. The Nursing Home Guide must include a “Nursing Home Guide Watch List” to notify consumers on which nursing home met the criteria for a conditional licensure status and each facility that is seeking bankruptcy.
