Electronic pseudoephedrine tracking system (PTS)
Requires pharmacies that dispense nonprescription pseudoephedrine to report these sales to the the Electronic Pseudoephedrine Tracking System (PTS). Specifies the information that pharmacies must include in these reports (e.g., purchaser’s name, product and quality purchased, identity of the pharmacy employee that approved of the purchase, etc.). Limits purchases to 7,500 mg per month and 3,600 mg per day at a single retailer. Requires the PTS to notify the pharmacy if the someone tries to purchase pseudoephedrine in excess of these limits.
