Daily Operations
Requires a telepharmacy site to close whenever there is an interruption to their data, video, or audio link. Requires a pharmacy technician, pharmacy intern, or pharmacist to be present whenever a telepharmacy is open. Permits data entry to occur at either the parent pharmacy or telepharmacy. Requires a pharmacist from the parent pharmacy to verify entries made at the telepharmacy prior to dispensing. Requires pharmacists to conduct patient counseling in a consultation room or through a private, secure audio/video link. Permits pharmacist interns to conduct patient counseling under a pharmacist’s supervision.
