“Common health plans under the Department of Financial Regulation regulations”
(2)(b) A small group insurer may limit coverage for pre-existing conditions that existed during the prior 12 months preceding the date of coverage. However, the small group carrier must waive any pre-existing conditions for all new employees or members of a small group and their dependents who provide evidence of continuous health benefit coverage during the previous nine months.
(2)(e) Small group carriers must provide mental health and substance abuse benefits.
