Reasonable Charges for Duplicating Patient Records
A health care provider may charge reasonable fees for duplicating a patient record. For the copying of each page, a provider may not charge more than $1.12 per page for the first thirty pages, and no more than $0.84 per page for all other pages. Additionally, a provider may charge a $25 clerical fee for searching and handling records, and if the provider personally edits confidential information from the record, the provider can charge the usual fee for a basic office visit.
