The Office of Health Care Access must review the level of uncompensated care provided by each hospital annually. Each hospital must file its policies regarding charity care with the Office, and must file its audited financial statements by February 28 each year. The hospital must file a verification of its net revenue by March 31 of each year. Each hospital must annually submit data reflecting uncompensated care, including the number of applicants for charity care and reduced cost services, the number of applicants approved, and the total and average charges and costs for charity care and reduced cost services provided.
