Transfer to Nursing Facility
Requires providers of swing bed services to transfer clients to an appropriate nursing facility when a bed becomes available. Requires facilities to document their efforts to transfer the client in the client’s medical record. Clarifies that facilities are not required to transfer the client if a physician certifies that the transfer is not medically appropriate.
