“Telemedicine; coverage of health care services; definitions”
Arizona requires all group disability insurers and blanket disability insurers to cover telemedicine services to the extent that such services would be covered if provided in-person and the person receiving the services is located in a rural region of Arizona. Such insurers may limit coverage to in-network providers and may require impose cost-sharing requirements. The requirement to cover telemedicine services applies to all group or blanket disability policies issued on or after January 1, 2015.
