“Sexual misconduct; duty to inform under the occupations and professions law”
If a psychologist’s client alleges that another psychologist engaged in sexual misconduct with the client, the psychologist must inform the client that the previous psychologist’s actions constitute unethical, unprofessional, and dishonorable conduct. A psychologist is not civilly or criminally liable for disclosing information to the board to report another psychologist’s misconduct.
