“Obligation to report; immunities under the occupations and professions law”
Insurers, health care organizations, and health care facilities must report to the appropriate licensing board any criminal conviction or violation of a board rule of a health provider. Every health provider or facility employing licensed allied health professionals must report to the appropriate governing board within 30 days any act by an allied health professional that constitutes misconduct. Any person or entity that fails to make a report must be fined $500.
