Physicians or other practitioners must “prominently” record Hepatitis B surface antigen test results in a pregnant woman’s medical record upon or before her admission to a hospital for delivery. Administrators of institutions that care for infants under the age of 28 days must report the results of Hepatitis B surface antigen tests administered to mothers of newborn infants to the Commissioner.
