The Commissioner must submit an annual report to the governor, speaker of the assembly, and the temporary president of the senate that evaluates the cancer registry’s quality and usefulness to researchers as well as a quarterly report that evaluates “whether the registry is achieving cancer registry goals established by a nationally recognized central cancer registry organization…”
The department must submit annual reports to the governor and legislature regarding skin cancer incidence in New York. The reports must include the percentage of skin cancer out of all cancers, the cause of reported cases of skin cancer, and other information specified by the Commissioner.
