Requirements and Confidentiality of Reports on Tuberculosis Patients
The department of health seeks to control the spread of tuberculosis by having physicians and other health care providers report diagnosed instances of tuberculosis. This law states that these reports are confidential, and not open to inspection by anyone other than state and local health authorities. The law prohibits these health authorities from disclosing the identity of the persons with tuberculosis except as allowed by the law
