Reporting Procedures/Methods
Requires physicians to submit reportable disease or condition reports by telephone or secure fax. Requires health care facility or penal institution administrators to report the diagnosis or treatment of reportable diseases or conditions. Requires laboratory administrators to report tests indicating a reportable disease or condition. Requires the aforementioned physicians and administrators to verbally notify health care employees or health care professional who they believe were exposed to a dangerous or life-threatening reportable disease or condition. Requires such notification to occur as soon as possible or within 24 hours. Clarifies that anonymous HIV tests sites may only report summary statistical sheets.
