Program-Enrolled Provider Responsibilities
Requires providers enrolled in Wyoming’s childhood immunization program— the Wyoming Vaccinates Important People (WyVIP) Program— to use the Wyoming Immunization Information System (WY IIS) for ordering, transferring, and returning vaccines, accessing patient and immunization information, and inventorying vaccines. Requires providers to maintain separate records for publicly and privately purchased vaccines, document patient eligibility, report adverse events to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS), and administer vaccines in accordance with CDC guidelines. Requires providers to maintain program records for at least three years and allow the Department of Health to access these records.
