Report required of health care providers, facilities, and laboratories
Requires health care providers, facilities, and laboratories to report STD cases to the Department of Health. Requires the Department to compile reported cases. Classifies records and information regarding reported STD cases as confidential and prohibits disclosure except in specified circumstances (e.g., disclosure with an individual’s consent, disclosures following a health care worker’s potential exposure, in accordance with another provision of law, etc.).
