Record Retention
Requires nursing facilities to comply with the record keeping requirements established in 048.0037.3 Wyo. Code R. § 7 (establishes standards for record retention and record access). Requires facilities to have persons available to explain financial records to field auditors. Grants facilities that fail to comply with the record keeping requirements 60 days to correct their deficiency before the Department will begin withholding funds. Requires facilities that maintain financial or medical records outside of Wyoming to either transfer the records to a site within Wyoming when the Department conducts an audit or reimburse the Department for expenses incurred when traveling to the out of state location.
