Prescribing
Permits physicians to prescribe medication when conducting a telemedicine exam or evaluation. Prohibits physicians from prescribing opioids during a telemedicine encounter unless the encounter is part of a federally approved medication assistance program for opioid use disorder treatment. Requires physicians to comply with all appropriate controlled substances laws and to participate in the prescription drug monitoring program.
