Requirements for Alzheimer’s Reports
This law categorizes the reports required by N.Y. Pub. Health Law § 2001 (requiring physicians to report diagnosed cases of Alzheimer’s disease to the department of health) as “Alzheimer’s disease reports” and requires these reports to contain information that the commissioner finds necessary to investigate the occurrence and prognosis of Alzheimer’s disease. The department of health is required to keep these reports confidential according to the rules set forth in N.Y. Pub. Health Law § 2003.
