This regulation requires that the Commissioner of Health keep the reports of Alzheimer's disease and related disorders he receives confidential in accordance with the requirements stated in N.Y. Pub. Health Law § 206.1(j), which states that the Commissioner must maintain all the information in these reports confidentially and use it only for purposes of medical or scientific research or improvement of quality of health care. The law further states that the information is not admissible as evidence in any action in any court, board or agency.
