Local Health Officers’ Duty to Report Communicable Diseases
This law requires that every local health officer “promptly” report all cases of communicable diseases (as listed in N.Y. Comp. Codes R. & Regs. tit. 10, § 2.1) to the department of health, and allows the health officer to submit summary reports instead when authorized by the department.
