“Refusal, revocation, or suspension of license; administrative fines and other disciplinary measures under the regulation of professions and occupations law”
The Board of Physical Therapy Practice may deny a license or impose disciplinary sanctions of a licensed physical therapist or physical therapy assistant for a variety of grounds including:
- Treating patients by means other than physical therapy;
- Failing to comply with prevailing standards of care;
- Engaging in rebating, refunding of fees, or profit for patient referrals;
- Having a license revoked or suspended in another state; and
- Making or filing a false report.
