Duty to Report Communicable Diseases in Municipalities Within a Count or Part-County Health District
This law requires that all city, village and town health officers submit daily reports on all new communicable disease (as listed in N.Y. Comp. Codes R. & Regs. tit. 10, § 2.1) cases to the county health officer. The county health officer is then required to send these reports to the department of health within 24 hours of receiving these reports, unless otherwise authorized by the department of health.
