Nursing facilities must report costs to the medical assistance program by filing an acceptable MA-11 with the department of welfare, which includes the following costs:
- Resident care costs, including nursing, practitioners, supplies and services;
- Resident related costs, including costs associated with food, housekeeping and laundry;
- Administrative costs; and
- Capital costs.
The nursing facility must maintain adequate financial records and statistical data for proper determination of costs under the medical assistance programs.
