Certified electronic health records systems
Requires executive branch state agencies, higher education institutions, and health care providers that participate in the state’s health information exchange to use an electronic health record system that is certified in accordance with the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology’s rules. Clarifies that this requirement does not apply if the Coordinator does not establish rules or the state’s Health Information Technology Director waives the requirement.
