Resource Use (Cost/Utilization) Measurement and Reporting in Oregon

        Providers must comply with various utilization and cost related requirements reportable to the Office for Oregon Health Policy and Research.  Health care facilities must annually file audited financial statements.1  Hospitals must submit a cost-based community benefit report after filing a Medicare cost report.2  Licensed general acute care hospitals and ambulatory surgical facilities must file ambulatory surgery data records for each surgical outpatient discharged from its facility.3 All licensed health care facilities must file an annual report regarding the facility’s utilization.4
