Home health agencies,1 health care facilities,2 health insurers3 must submit to the Agency for Health Care Administration data on the use of health care services and treatment.
Every pharmacy must make available on its website a link to the performance outcome and financial data that is published by the Agency for Health Care Administration and place a notice in a public area to inform customers that the information is available.4
The Agency for Health Care Administration must establish an information system that distributes and receives information and services as a basis for the agency’s public education programs.5 The agency must also annually publish a comprehensive report of state health expenditures.
The Agency of Health Care Administration must establish a Florida Center for Health Information and Policy Analysis.6 The center must establish a comprehensive health information system to provide for the collection of health-related data and statistics.
Health insurers must annually report data to the Office of Insurance Regulation.7
The Department of Health and all medical licensing boards must develop and implement a long-range policy planning and monitoring process that includes recommendations specific to each profession.8 The process must include estimates of revenues, expenditures, cash balances, and performance statistics for each profession for a period of 5 years.
