Who to report reportable diseases
Identifies the health care providers that must report diseases to the Department of Health (e.g., physicians, public and private schools, medical laboratories). Requires the State Veterinarian to report disease transmissions between humans and animals. Permits people that have knowledge regarding the disease status of other persons to report this knowledge to the Department. Reports from physicians or their designees must occur at least twice a week in the manner specified by the Department. Immunizes persons from liability arising out of their compliance with this section so long as they act in good faith.
