Cost disclosure to health care providers
All hospital CEOs and superintendents of state hospitals must create a process for disseminating to physicians and providers with admitting privileges the costs of the services they order. Any physician or provider that orders care in the hospital must also have access to the cost information. Physicians and providers may disclose the costs to the patient.
Hospitals must explore making costing information available to physicians through computer technology.
