Estimate of Health Care Fees and Charges
Upon a request by a patient, a provider must give the patient an estimate of fees and charges related to a specific service, visit or stay, along with information regarding other types of fees or charges a patient may receive in conjunction with their visit to the provider. Providers, except for ambulances and other aid vehicles, must post a sign in patient registration areas that informs patients that they have the right to request the estimated charges of health services upon request.
