“Unprofessional conduct under the professions and occupations law”
An occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant must not engage in unprofessional conduct, which includes:
- Failure to keep written occupational therapy records;
- Experimenting on a patient without first obtaining the patient’s full, informed and written consent;
- Failure to comply with prevailing professional standards of care in the course of his practice; or
- Sexually harassing or engaging in sexual conduct with a patient.
