“Unprofessional conduct under the professions and occupations law”
The Board of Medical Practice may find that a healthcare professional engaged in unprofessional conduct for various grounds including:
- Acts in a manner which shows unfitness to practice medicine;
- Fails to comply with prevailing professional standards of care;
- Fails to comply with the law or board rule; practices of profession when medically or psychologically unfit to do so; and
- Engages in sexual misconduct with a patient relationship.
