“Unprofessional conduct to be reported to board under the professions and occupations law”
Any hospital, clinic, community mental health center, or other health care institution must report to the board any disciplinary action taken to limit a health care professional’s privilege to practice or leads to suspension or expulsion from the institution. The report must be made within 10 days of the date of the disciplinary action.
Within 30 days of any medical malpractice judgment or settlement, any insurer must report the information to the commissioner of health or to the commissioner of mental health if the claim relates to mental health services.
