“Review of adverse community events under the health law”
The Department of Mental Health must establish a system that ensure the comprehensive review of a death or serious bodily injury occurring outside an acute inpatient hospital when the individual causing or victimized by the death or serious bodily injury is a client of the department or had been a client of the department within six months of the event. The review must determine whether the death or serious injury was the result of inappropriate or inadequate services within the mental health system and how the failure may be remedied.
