“Uniform patient reporting system; statistical and demographic reports; exemption”
The department of health services must establish a uniform patient reporting system in order to collect billing data from hospitals and emergency departments. The department may require hospitals and emergency departments to also report clinical or demographic data. The department must allow the public to access reported data, but must withhold access to any confidential or privileged information (e.g., personal health information, personal financial information, etc.).
