Testing of inmates and convicted individuals for exposure to HIV -- Reporting
Requires persons incarcerated for fifteen or more days in a jail, correctional facility, or state penitentiary, persons convicted of certain sexual offenses, and persons convicted of certain controlled substance offenses to undergo HIV testing. Requires positive tests to be reported to the Department of Health. Immunizes health care providers that conduct the HIV testing from liability arising out of the test unless their actions or omissions involve gross negligence.
